چکیده
High efficiency enzymatic hydrolysis of lignocellulose to produce fermentable sugar is important for bioconversion lignocellulosic biomass liquid fuels and chemicals. In this study, a simple pretreatment with potassium permanganate used enhance the organosolv corn stover. It testified that, compared single pretreatment, KMnO4 assisted significantly increase yields carbohydrates through decreasing degradation hemicellulose, decrease formation inhibitors stover pretreated at low temperature. Process conditions are optimized conversion glucan xylan in 72 h reach 89.45% 85.30% respectively when firstly treated 1% (w/w) 40°C 60 min prior ethanol-water 50% ethanol concentration 185°C 90 min. The differences morphological feature, fiber surface chemical compositions, crystallinity degree thermostability by without characterized scanning electron microscope, X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy, diffraction thermogravimetry explore underlying reasons strengthening process.

Lime pretreatment and enzymatic hydrolysis of corn stover.
Corn stover was pretreated with an excess of calcium hydroxide (0.5 g Ca(OH)2/g raw biomass) in non-oxidative and oxidative conditions at 25, 35, 45, and 55 degrees C. The optimal condition is 55 degrees C for 4 weeks with aeration. Glucan (91.3%) and xylan (51.8%) were converted to glucose and xylose respectively, when the treated corn stover was enzymatically hydrolyzed with 15 FPU/g cellulos...
متن کاملAnhydrous Ammonia Pretreatment of Corn Stover and Enzymatic Hydrolysis of Glucan from Pretreated Corn Stover
As a promising alternative of fossil fuel, ethanol has been widely used. In recent years, much attention has been devoted to bioethanol production from lignocellulosic biomass. In previous research, it is found that the pretreatment method named low-moisture anhydrous ammonia (LMAA) has the advantage of high conversion efficiency and less washing requirements. The purpose of this study was to e...
متن کاملThe pretreatment of corn stover with Gloeophyllum trabeum KU-41 for enzymatic hydrolysis
BACKGROUND Pretreatment is an essential step in the enzymatic hydrolysis of biomass for bio-ethanol production. The dominant concern in this step is how to decrease the high cost of pretreatment while achieving a high sugar yield. Fungal pretreatment of biomass was previously reported to be effective, with the advantage of having a low energy requirement and requiring no application of addition...
متن کاملBiological Pretreatment under Non-sterile Conditions for Enzymatic Hydrolysis of Corn Stover
Pretreatment with white-rot fungi can effectively remove lignin and decompose the structure of biomass to enhance subsequent enzymatic hydrolysis. This study developed a novel fungal pretreatment of biomass, which was operated under non-sterile conditions. The white-rot fungus Irpex lacteus colonized stably on the non-sterile substrates and effectively degraded lignin. After non-sterile fungal ...
متن کاملUnderstanding of alkaline pretreatment parameters for corn stover enzymatic saccharification
UNLABELLED BACKGROUND Previous research on alkaline pretreatment has mainly focused on optimization of the process parameters to improve substrate digestibility. To achieve satisfactory sugar yield, extremely high chemical loading and enzyme dosages were typically used. Relatively little attention has been paid to reduction of chemical consumption and process waste management, which has prov...
